EVALUATION COMMENTS

  • Well organised, thought provoking. I have a lot of ideas to walk away with.  Thank you to all who helped organise this and to those who carried out the workshops.  Thank you for those lovely goody bags!
  • Would love to participate on longer courses on science of the brain and play circle session.  A thoroughly well organised and enjoyable day - would be good to share practices across clusters.
  • A very stimulating and interesting day, with lots to reflect on.  Plenty of practical ideas and ‘real' examples of EQ in schools.  Gave a very good overview of the work going on in the Thanet area and gives cause for optimism for the success of Secondary SEAL.
  • A very interesting day.
  • Thank you for an inspiring day!
  • Very inspiring and worthwhile.  Hope to move forward....
  • Thoroughly enjoyed the day - thank you.  Excellent to meet Elizabeth Morris and in particular to see how QCA endorse this work.  Inspired and enthused to take this forward.
  • Very interesting and informative day.  Very useful ideas from circle sessions.
  • Some very good information sharing.  A lot of useable ideas and resources.
  • An enjoyable day with lots of valuable information.
  • Excellent.  Looking forward to taking it back into school in bitesize chunks.  Thank you.
  • Very interesting and truly inspirational.  I found the sound system quite distracting - background buzzing.
  • The circle sessions would have been better used if longer, but overall an enjoyable day.
  • A most interesting day, would have liked a bit longer on the main speeches.  Thank you for sharing your experiences with us from outside your cluster.
  • When I registered it mentioned visiting a school on Friday but I've forgotten where/when etc, so confirmation would have been good.
  • What a great day - enthused and inspired we're going back to Maidstone to be more emotionally literate.
  • A really inspirational day with lots of practical ideas to take back into school as well as a taster into some of the theory.
  • Great opportunity for us to start thinking more about this for our school.  Made some network links today.
  • If you have handouts and props it is difficult to move them around.  A central storage point would be good.
  • Excellent opportunity to talk to people at various stages.  Reassuring and inspiring in equal measures.
  • Very worthwhile - can't wait to get back into school and share everything I've learnt today.
  • A hot meal would have been appreciated
  • Thank you for a wonderful conference - this has given me reassurance that I am on the right path (and I really miss the support from the Excellence Cluster!)
  • Wonderfully organised, useful, interesting day.  Will be able to move EI forward in my school.
  • Very good day.  Interesting to talk to colleagues and discover strategies re behaviour.
  • Mind over Matter needed more time to get a full understanding.  A bit rushed.
  • A very good day - enjoyed meeting other staff and sharing good practice on EQ.
  • A great conference - would like to know more information.
  • Sound and vision not particularly good.  Circle sessions were difficult to hear as everybody was talking at once.
  • Great that schools are taking EI on board. To argue that EI is not a skill is something I would argue against!  Circle session was outstanding.
  • A generally good opportunity to reflect and share practice.
  • Very positive experience and feedback from other delegates about the day - I think the day as a whole worked so well with all the different elements.
  • A great day - thank you.
  • I don't think I was placed in groups which I requested in at least one case, but all was interesting nonetheless.  Shame the parenting session didn't happen.
  • Fantastic to see pupils who were willing to talk about their experiences of EQ.  Thank you.
  • Excellent ideas and a good opportunity to share with other colleagues.
  • Thank you for opening this up to other interested partners not part of TEC. Only a minor point which would always accompany such a day - would have welcomed more time for discussion and networking!
  • It is not often that one attends INSET where all contributing give such excellent and thought provoking talks.  Thank you.
  • Very good, especially individual speaker sessions, but feel a bit isolated as not in the Excellence Cluster.
  • It has been a very interesting and valuable day.
  • Did not like the raffle - inappropriate.
  • Very well organised - the gift bags were an excellent idea.  Some of the sessions maybe needed a little more of a prompt.  Thank you.
  • A very useful day which has given me lots of ideas to take back.  It has spurred me on to making a real commitment to EQ in my school.
  • Excellent day.  Very thought provoking.
  • Great, thanks.
  • Very informative and useful to gain a greater knowledge of EQ practices.  Well done to pupils involved.
  • Very good especially if one had not had and previous knowledge or experience of EQ in schools.
  • Thank you for a knowledge sharing day.  All schools senior and primary should be singing the same tune for all our pupils.
