It gives me great pleasure to introduce you to King Ethelbert School, and to thank you for showing an interest in our achievements.  We seek to promote a passion for lifelong learning; the governors, staff and I want the very best for our pupils, which is why there have been so many important developments at the school in recent years. 

In recent years, King Ethelbert School has gone from strength to strength, with examination results improving year on year.  Ofsted have judged the school as outstanding.  Our many successes have obviously been linked to the high standards set by our enthusiastic staff, not just in their subject teaching, but as members of a well-ordered and caring community.

At King Ethelbert School every child is valued and supported to achieve their personal best.  Learning, progress and success are at the heart of all that we do, and we expect our young people to be ready to learn, to work hard and to take pride in their own and their school's successes.  These high expectations, combined with a sensitivity to pupils' individual needs, enable us to provide a quality education embracing pupil's academic, achievement and personal development.
